— the word game that counts letters, not positions

A daily word puzzle that tells you how many letters you got right — never which ones.

Two letters are in the right place. One more is in the word, somewhere else. Which ones? That is your problem, not ours.

Choose a board

Easy4 letters · 10 guesses

Short words leak the least: only 15 tallies exist for four letters, against 28 for six. Easy gets the most room, and no score at all — just the word.

Regular5 letters · 8 guesses

The standard board. Unique letters in every answer, so a repeated letter in your guess is always a wasted slot.

Hard6 letters · 8 guesses

Answers here can repeat a letter, and the tally will not tell you when they do.

Everyone gets the same word for the same puzzle number, and the day turns over at your local midnight — not at some hour picked in another timezone.

Where the answers come from, and what can never be one

Two frequency corpora, a base-form test, and one filter that has nothing to do with words at all. Why the pools came in under target and stayed there.
